The city’s consumer delegation division has launched an inquiry, noting that "the crime of endangering the life and health" of the attendees has probed the investigation.

"Event organizers will be called to testify, and other steps are underway to investigate the facts,” A spokesperson for the Civil Police Department of Rio de Janeiro said.

With the investigation only in its early stages, it’s unclear if Taylor will be questioned or required to testify during the inquiry.

During the same performance, fans claimed they were left with second-degree burns thanks to the venue’s hot metal floors, with some even requiring medical treatment as a result.

“When they opened the entrance, I was pushed and fell to the ground HOT. I got two second-degree burns that wouldn't stop burning in the sun,” one person wrote on social media.

The fan’s death made headlines before the concert, though Taylor chose to continue with the performance and declined speaking on the subject to the crowd. Later in the evening, Taylor took to Instagram to address Clara’s death and why she didn’t speak about it live.

“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Taylor wrote. “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.”

“There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young,” she went on. “I’m not going to be able to speak about this from stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it,” Taylor explained. “I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil.”
